2nd T-20: India beat South Africa by 16 runs

Kathmandu: The home team India has won the three-match T-20 series against South Africa. India beat South Africa by 16 runs in the second T-20 on Sunday night and won the series by 2-0.

Chasing the target of 238 runs given by India in Guwahati, South Africa could only score 221 runs after losing 3 wickets in 20 overs.

South Africa’s David Miller remained unbeaten and played a century innings of 106 runs, but could not bring the team to victory. Similarly, Quinton de Kock scored an unbeaten 69 and Edin Markram scored 33 runs.

India’s Arshdeep Singh took 2 wickets and Akshar Patel took 1 wicket. Before that, India, who batted first, scored 237 runs after losing 3 wickets in 20 overs.

India’s Suryakumar Yadav scored 61 runs, KL Rahul scored 57 runs, Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten 49 runs and captain Rohit Sharma scored 43 runs.

Keshav Maharaj of South Africa took 2 wickets. India won the first match by 8 wickets. Now the third match will be played on Tuesday. After that, there will be a series of three ODI matches.
