A Division League will be held from November 15

Kathmandu: The Martyrs’ Memorial has been shifted to A Division League after almost two months. The competition, which was earlier scheduled to be held from September 19, will now be held from November 15.

Discussions between the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) and clubs on Sunday decided to postpone the tournament. According to ANFA, the domestic league has been postponed due to holding a clean championship next October.

Prize money increased

This year, the league winner will get Rs 7.5 million. Earlier, it was decided that the winner would get Rs 5 million, but the meeting on Sunday decided to increase the prize money, said an ANFA official.

Similarly, the third place winner will get Rs 5 million and the third place winner will get Rs 2.5 million. ANFA will give Rs 2 million to the clubs for league preparation. The bottom two teams in the single round robin between 14 clubs will be relegated to Division B.
