Kaski – Annapurna marathon from Annapurna base camp to Ghandruk (142.195 km) is going to be held in the coming month of May. The Century Tourism Committee is going to continue the Annapurna Marathon in connection with Annapurna First Mountain Climbing Day.
Addressing the discussion program held in Ghandruk on Friday, Chairman of the committee Lalit Gurung informed that although two editions have been postponed due to covid-19, the committee is going to continue the Annapurna Marathon this time.
In the discussion held in conjunction with the Ghandruk Tourism Management Committee, local tourism professionals have expressed their commitment to work together to make the marathon a success.
To promote tourism by building tourism infrastructure of Annapurna Base Camp, tourism festival and Annapurna Marathon were held continuously in the past. Although last year’s program was postponed due to adverse circumstances, this time the program will be continued as per the predetermined time, said Mikas Gurung, secretary of the committee.
