Kathmandu: Australia have clinched their second consecutive victory in the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup.

Australia beat Sri Lanka by seven wickets in the second match in the UAE last night.

Australia completed the target of 155 runs set by Sri Lanka by losing 3 wickets in 17 overs. David Warner played a half-century innings of 65 runs in Australia’s victory. Captain Aaron Finch added 37 runs while Glenn Maxwell was dismissed for five.

Steve Smith remained unbeaten on 28 while Marcus Stones scored an unbeaten 16. Sri Lanka’s Vanindu Hasaranga de Silva took 2 wickets and Dasun Shanka took 1 wicket. Earlier, batting first, Sri Lanka lost 6 wickets in 20 overs and scored 154 runs.
