Australia wins the final ODI against Sri Lanka

Kathmandu: Australia have won their fifth and final ODI against Sri Lanka. Australia beat Sri Lanka by 4 wickets in Colombo last night.

However, Sri Lanka has already won the five-match series. In the last match, Australia met the target of 161 runs set by Sri Lanka by losing 6 wickets in 39 overs.

Alex Kerry scored an unbeaten 45 for Australia. Marnus Lavusen scored 31 and Cameron Green scored 25 not out. Sri Lanka’s Dinuth Velalage took 3 wickets and Mahis Thiksana took 2 wickets.

Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 160 in 43 overs. Chamika Karunaratne of Sri Lanka played a half-century innings of 75 runs.

Similarly, Kushal Mendis added 26 runs. Australia won the first game by two wickets. Sri Lanka won the series by 26 runs in the second game, 6 wickets in the third game and 4 runs in the fourth game.

Australia had won the previous three-match T20 series. There will also be two Test series between the two countries.
