In the 23rd minute of the match at Southampton, Raheem Sterling gave Chelsea an early lead. However, Romeo Lavia scored in the 28th minute to draw Southampton 1-1. Then Adam Armstrong scored in injury time of the first half to give Southampton a 2-1 win.
Fulham beat Brighton 2-1 in another Premier League match. Crystal Palace and Brentford also drew 1-1 when Everton drew 1-1 with Leeds United on Tuesday night.
There will be five matches in the Premier League on Wednesday night. While top-placed Arsenal faces Aston Villa, Manchester City and Nottingham Forest, Liverpool and Newcastle United and West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur will meet.
