Kathmandu: Head coach Abdullah Almutairi has selected 36 players from the 50 players in the camp. Fourteen players of the national football team have left the camp.
Nepal is currently training for the SAAF Championship to be held in September and the final round of the Asian Cup to be held next year.
Almutairi initially invited 50 players to the camp. Out of that, 36 players have been selected.
Vishal Sunar, Amit Tamang, Vivek Basnet, Darshan Gurung, Dona Thapa, Gaurav Budhathoki, Mikchen Tamang, Niraj Basnet, Nishan Khadka, Prison Tamang, Ravi Paswan, Sesehang Aangdambe, Shishir Lekhi and Sudil Rai are among the players who will be dropped from the training.
Goalkeeper Vishal Nepal was in the team when he last played in the World Cup qualifiers in Kuwait. He is yet to make his debut in the team for the first time. Similarly, Darshan Gurung, Mikchen Tamang, Nishan Khadka, Ravi Paswan and Sesehang Aangdambe have also played for Nepal.
Midfielder Vikram Lama is also training. After he came to Qatar for treatment, Almutairi called him for training. Although Listinga is not his name, he is likely to be included in the national team if he is fully fit.
