Denmark reached to the last 16 after defeated Russia by a 4-1

    Denmark has entered in the knockout stage of Euro Cup 2020 after despite losing the first two games, with a sensational victory over Russia.

    Denmark reached the last 16 as runners-up in Group B, beating Russia 4-1 on Monday night.

    Mikel Damsgaard, Joseph Paulsen, Andres Kristiansen and Joachim Muhle all scored to give Denmark the victory at the Parken Stadium. Russia’s Artem Juba returned a goal.

    Damsgaard scored in the 38th minute to give Denmark the lead. Paulsen scored in the 59th minute to give Denmark a 2-0 lead.

    In the 70th minute, Russia’s Juba scored from the penalty spot to make it 2-1. But Christianensen scored in the 79th minute and Joaquim in the 82nd minute to give Denmark a 4-1 victory.

    After this victory, Denmark became the runner-up of Group B with 3 points from 3 games. Although Finland and Russia have the same 3 points, Denmark is ahead in goal difference.

    Denmark lost 1-0 to Finland in the first match and 2-1 to Belgium in the second match.

    Russia, who lost to Denmark, are in last place and are out of the group stage.

    Russia lost 3-0 to Belgium in the first match and Finland 1-0 in the second match.
