Farewell to the Nepalese team for the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup

Kathmandu: The Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) has bid farewell to the Nepali cricket team that will go to play the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup cricket tournament to be held in Sri Lanka today.

The Youth and Sports Minister Dig Bahadur Limbu, officials of CAN bid farewell to the team by wishing them success.

The Nepalese team is leaving for Sri Lanka today. This competition will be held from June 28th to July 7th. In the competition, Nepal is in Group ‘B’. Nepal’s group includes Pakistan ‘A’, India ‘A’ and UAE. Similarly, the host Sri Lanka ‘A’, Bangladesh ‘A’, Afghanistan ‘A’ and Oman are in Group ‘B’.

Nepal will play its first match against Pakistan’s ‘A’ team on June 29. Similarly, Nepal will play its second match against India ‘A’ on July 1. In the final match of the group stage, Nepal will play against UAE on July 3. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals.

Arif Shaikh, who was included in the team earlier, will not participate in the competition. He withdrew his name showing his personal problems. Now Pawan Sarraf will participate in his place.

Along with captain Rohit Kumar Poudel, the Nepalese team consists of Kushal Bhurtel, Asif Sheikh, Arjun Saud, Kushal Malla, Gulsan Jha, Sompal Kami, Bhim Sarki, Dev Khanal, Pratish JC, Lalit Rajvanshi, Kishore Mahato, Shyam Dhakal, Surya Tamang, Pawan Sharraf and Sandeep Zora. .
