Former national football player Lok Bahadur Shahi has passed away.
According to the All Nepal Football Association, Shahi passed away in Dailekh last night. Shahi, who was suffering from various diseases, was in Chaurata, Dailekh last time. Former goalkeeper Shahi played for the national team from 1979 to 1988.
Shahi was also the former General Secretary of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) from 1995 to 2002. Apart from ANFA, Shahi was also a member of various sports associations. Shahi represented the Nepali national team in the 1980s. He was a member of the royal team when Nepal won the gold medal in clean football in 1984.
