Kathmandu – The semi-final match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 in India is starting today.
The host country India and New Zealand are playing in the first semi-final today. This match will start at 2.15 pm in Wangkhade.
India is an undefeated team in the ongoing World Cup. New Zealand has reached the semi-finals by winning five out of nine matches and finishing fourth.
India was stopped in the semi-finals in the World Cup four years ago. That too by losing to New Zealand. Similarly, New Zealand defeated India in the final of the 2021 World Test Championship.
Likewise, South Africa and Australia will play tomorrow in the second semi-final. This match will also start at 2.30 pm at Eden Garden.
South Africa, who won seven out of nine matches, came second and Australia, who won seven out of nine matches, reached the semi-finals by standing third on the basis of run rate.
The 2 teams that will reach the finals will play for the title on Sunday, November 19, i.e., November 3.
