Kathmandu – India and South Africa are playing today for the ICC T-20 World Cup cricket title. The final match will start at Bijrtown today at 8:30 PM according to Nepali time.
In the second semi-final, India defeated the former winner England by 68 runs and came close to the title.
India has won the title only once before. He won the first edition in 2007. Then in 2014, India, who reached the final, was defeated by Sri Lanka.
South Africa is playing the final for the first time. He defeated Afghanistan by nine wickets in the first semi-final and reached the final.
South Africa reached the semi-finals in 2009 and 2014. In this ninth edition of the World Cup, both the teams have reached the final by remaining undefeated.
South Africa are unbeaten in eight matches and India in seven matches. India shared the points in the match against Canada due to rain.
The ninth edition of the T-20 World Cup was jointly organized by America and West Indies. 20 countries participated in the competition which started on 2nd of June last year ie 20th of May.
Nepal, who played the T-20 World Cup for the second time, was eliminated from the group stage.
