Kushal’s brilliant half-century, Nepal beat Malaysia by 6 wickets

Kathmandu: Nepal has reached the finals of the ICC T-20 World Cup Asia Region Qualifying Competition before one match. Nepal defeated Malaysia by 6 wickets in the match held on Tuesday.

Malaysia won the toss and scored 165 runs after losing 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Malaysia’s Saeed Aziz scored the highest 68 runs.

On the bowling side, Nepal’s Abinash Baehra took 4 wickets and Sandeep Lamichhane, Gulson Jha and captain Rahit Paidel took 1 wicket each.

In the first match, Nepal defeated Singapore by 8 wickets yesterday. Nepal is in Group A with Singapore, Oman and Malaysia. Group ‘B’ has UAE, Bahrain, Hong Kong and Kuwait.

The 2 teams that reach the finals of the qualifiers will be allowed to play in the T20 World Cup next year in America and West Indies. The match at Trivi and Moolpani cricket ground will continue till 19th.
