Messi breaks Brazilian football legend Pele’s record after 50 years

Kathmandu: Argentine captain Lionel Messi has broken the record of Brazilian football legend Pel’s after 50 years.

Messi has broken the record for most goals in international football by a South American player.

Messi broke Pel’s record by scoring a hat-trick in Argentina’s 3-0 win over Bolivia on Friday morning in the FIFA World Cup South American qualifiers. Messi has scored 79 goals for Argentina. Messi has scored two more goals than Pel.

The great football player Pelलेले had scored 77 goals in 92 games. The record was set in 1971. Half a century later, the current world football superstar Messi broke Pelलेको’s record.

Messi has reached 79 international goals after a hat-trick against Bolivia. For that, he has played 153 games.

Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo holds the record for most goals scored in international football. He has scored 111 goals.
