Kathmandu: Nepal defeated UAE ‘A’ by 3 wickets in ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup. Nepal met the normal target of 158 runs given by UAE by losing 7 wickets in 23 overs.
Nepal’s Kushal Bhurtel scored a half-century. Kushal got out after scoring 71 runs off 43 balls. Similarly, Dev Khanal and Sandeep Jara scored 23 runs. On the bowling side, Mohammed Farazuddin of UAE took 5 wickets.
Earlier, UAE, who won the toss and batted in Calamba, were bowled out after scoring 157 runs in 44 overs. Lovepreet Singh of UAE scored the highest 52 runs. On the bowling side, Kushal Bhurtel of Nepal took 6 wickets. Kushal took 6 wickets with 40 runs in 10 overs. Similarly, Maisam Dhakal took 2 wickets and Pawan Sarraf and Kushal Malle took 1 wicket each.
This is Nepal’s first victory in the competition. Nepal lost to Pakistan ‘A’ in the first match and India ‘A’ in the second match.
