Nepal enters the semi-finals of the ACC Men’s Premier Cup

Kathmandu – Nepal has reached the semi-finals of the ACC Men’s Premier Cup. Due to rain, the match against Saudi Arabia was canceled without even a toss, so Nepal reached the semi-finals.

As the match was not played at the Mulpani cricket ground today on Monday due to rain, both tallies shared one point each. Nepal was going to play Mulpani cricket for the first international match today.

With the cancellation of the match, Nepal is at the top of Group ‘A’ with five points from three matches. Oman is second with four points from the same match and Saudi Arabia is third with three points from the same match.

Now Nepal will play against Qatar in the final match on May 14th at Kirtipur University Ground. If they win this match, Nepal will become the group winner.

Oman and Saudi Arabia will play in the last match of this group. The winner of this game will be the next team from this group to reach the semi-finals.

Due to rain, the match between Hong Kong and Bahrain could not be played at the University Cricket Ground.

Group ‘A’ of ACC Premier Cup includes Oman, Qatar, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia along with Nepal and Group ‘B’ includes UAE, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Singapore and Bahrain.

The winning team of the tournament will get to play in the Asia Cup in Pakistan next September. The top three teams will qualify for the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup in July.
