Asia Cup 2023: Nepal lost to Pakistan by a wide margin

Kathmandu: Nepal has been defeated by Pakistan by a wide margin in the opening match at Multan International Cricket Ground in the Asia Cup Cricket 2023.

Nepal and Pakistan lost in the opening match in Pakistan on Wednesday. After winning the toss at the Multan Cricket Ground, Pakistan chose to bat first. Nepal lost to Pakistan by a wide margin of 238 runs.

Chasing the target of 343 runs given by Pakistan, Nepal managed to score only 104 runs after losing 10 wickets in 23.4 overs.

Nepal made their Asia Cup debut through this match. Nepali cricket team played against Pakistan for the first time.

Nepal, India and Pakistan are in Group ‘A’ of the 6-team competition, while Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan are in Group ‘B’.

Nepal will play their next match against India in Sri Lanka on August 18. The competition will run till 31st of August.
