Kathmandu: Nepal has become the runner-up in the Bangabandhu Cup International Men’s Kabaddi Tournament.
After losing 45-31 to host Bangladesh in the final held yesterday in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, Nepal became the runner-up. Bangladesh defeated Thailand and Nepal defeated Kenya to reach the finals.
Nepal reached the final for the first time. After winning 4 out of 5 games in the group stage, Nepal became the runner-up and reached the semi-finals.
Nepal, which defeated Malaysia, Poland, South Korea and Indonesia in the group stage, was defeated by Bangladesh.
Since 2021, 4 editions of the tournament have been organized so far, and Bangladesh has won all four editions.
