Nepal will participate in 23 games in the 19th Asian Games

Kathmandu: Nepal will participate in 23 games in the upcoming 19th Asian Games to be held in China.
The board meeting of the National Sports Council held on Friday has determined the number of games for the Asian Games to be held from September 10 to September 25. Rakhep made the names of 23 games public at a press conference on Friday.

Sports included in the Asian Games:

  1. Taekwondo,
  2. Karate,
  3. Boxing,
  4. Athletics,
  5. Cycling,
  6. Women’s Football,
  7. Golf,
  8. Wrestling,
  9. Weightlifting,
  10. Judo,
  11. Triathlon,
  12. Wushu,
  13. Archery,
  14. Basketball,
  15. Women’s Kabaddi,
  16. Fencing,
  17. Women’s Handball and
  18. Table Tennis.

Women’s volleyball, men’s cricket, shooting and badminton will also be included. According to Rakhep, women’s volleyball will be included in the list based on the victory in Central Zone.
Similarly, shooting based on Olympic results, badminton based on world rankings and cricket based on T20 World Cup are being included.
