NPL Sports, 31st Jan: The Brazilian or PSG superstar has been heavily linked with the La Liga giants after Real Madrid club president Florentino Perez made it clear he wants to sign him.
Neymar Jr. joined PSG from Barcelona last summer for a world record fee of £198m. But just six months later he’s being linked with a switch back to Spain.
Neymar has reportedly told his closest friends that he is unhappy in Paris following fallouts with manager Unai Emery and strike partner Edinson Cavani.
And Perez has put the former Santos star at the top of his wishlist. Real are planning a huge summer spending spree as they look to re-establish themselves as Europe’s most fearsome side.
Real Madrid also plotting a Premier League raid, with Eden Hazard, Harry Kane and David De Gea among those in their sights.
Neymar is believed to be open to a move to Real Madrid and according to Diario Gol, he’s already chosen his squad number.
He wants the number 10, which he currently wears at PSG but was unable to occupy at Barca due to Lionel Messi.
Real’s current number 10 is Luka Modric but the Croatian could leave this summer, freeing up the number for Neymar.
Zinedine Zidane’s side are desperate for new faces following a miserable start to the season. They’re currently fourth in La Liga, 19 points behind runaway leaders Barcelona.
