Kathmandu: Pakistan has won the tri-national T-20 international cricket series title. Pakistan won the title by defeating New Zealand by five wickets in the final match on Friday.
Pakistan achieved the target of 164 runs for victory in Christchurch by losing five wickets in 19 overs of 3 balls.
Pakistan’s Mohammad Najaw scored 38 not out and Mohammad Rizwan added 34 runs. On the bowling side, New Zealand’s Michael Bracewell took two wickets.
Earlier, New Zealand scored 163 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the scheduled 20 overs.
New Zealand captain Kane Williamson scored the highest 59 runs.
Similarly, Glen Phillips scored 29 and Mark Chapman scored 22 runs. On the bowling side, Pakistan’s Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf took two wickets each.
Pakistan, New Zealand and Bangladesh participated in the tri-nation series. Bangladesh did not win a single match in this series.
Three countries have played a series before the T-20 World Cup, which is going to start on Sunday in Australia.
