T20 Cricket: West Indies beat South Africa by 8 wickets

    Kathmandu: South Africa have lost their first Twenty20 cricket match against the West Indies. West Indies defeated South Africa by 8 wickets in last night’s match. West Indies met the target of 161 runs set by South Africa 30 balls ahead.

    Evin Lewis contributed 71 runs for the West Indies, followed by Chris Gayle (32), Andre Fletcher (30) and Andre Russell (23). South Africa’s Tabrez Shami took one wicket. Earlier, losing the toss and batting first, South Africa lost 6 wickets in 20 overs and scored 160 runs.

    For South Africa, Rossi van der Dussen scored 56, Quinton de Kock 37, Timba Babuma 22 and Riza Hendrix 17. West Indies’ Fabian Allen and Dwayne Bravo took 2/2 wickets.
