Kathmandu:  The Netherlands beat Namibia by five wickets in the fifth match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup-2022 at Simonds Stadium, Geelong on Tuesday.
The target of 122 runs given by Namibia was met by the Netherlands with the loss of 5 wickets with three balls remaining.
Max O’Dowd scored 35 runs and Bikramjit Singh scored 39 runs for him.
JJ Smit of Namibia took two wickets. Earlier, Namibia, who batted first, scored 121 runs with the help of Jan Frylink’s 43 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.
In the first match, Namibia defeated Sri Lanka and the Netherlands defeated UAE.
The Netherlands is at the top of Group A with four points from two matches. Namibia is in second place. Sri Lanka and UAE have not been able to add points. Sri Lanka is at the bottom.
