Kathmandu: Departmental teams Nepal Police Club and APF Club also won the Bagmati Pradesh New Diamond Cup Open Women’s Volleyball Tournament on Wednesday.
In the first match of the day held at the Multipurpose Covered Hall in Kirtipur, Nepal Police Club defeated the Philanthropic Women’s Hostel in straight sets to clinch its second consecutive victory in the ongoing competition.
Police has added 6 points from two games after winning the second game in a row. The philanthropist who lost the second game is scoreless.
In another match, another departmental team APF stunned New Diamond Academy in a straight set. APF also has 6 points in the table.
The top two teams in the round-robin competition will compete for the title. The winner of the competition will get Rs 500,000. There will also be two games on Thursday.
