The General Assembly of CAN will be held on December 29th and 30th


Kathmandu: The Nepal Cricket Association (NCA) has decided to hold a general meeting on December 29 and 30.

Today’s board meeting of CAN has also formed a five-member selection committee under the coordination of acting secretary Prashant Bikram Malla to select the head coach of the Nepali national men’s cricket team.

The Nepali men’s cricket team is without a coach when the then coach Dave Whatmore left after the World Cricket League Two series against USA and Oman in Oman in September.

CAN had invited applications for the post of head coach on October 18. Of which 60 have applied.

The five-member selection committee will have treasurer Roshan Kumar Singh, general manager Raunak Bahadur Malla, cricket manager Binod Kumar Das and an ICC representative.

Similarly, the meeting has also instructed the concerned cricket association to conclude the convention of the district cricket associations by January 21 as per the constitution of the association. The meeting also passed the financial procedures of the association.

The meeting has decided to hold the Prime Minister’s Cup National Women’s and Men’s Cricket Tournament by December 30.
