West Indies beat Australia by six wickets to clinch T20I series 3-0, Chris Gayle completes 14,000 runs

KATHMANDU: The West Indies have won five T20 cricket series against Australia two games ahead. West Indies won the series by defeating Australia by 6 wickets in this morning’s match.

West Indies met the target of 142 runs set by Australia by losing 4 wickets in 14 overs. Chris Gayle of West Indies played a half century innings of 67 runs. Gayle has also completed 14,000 runs in T20 cricket.

Captain Nicholas Puran remained unbeaten on 32 runs. Australia’s Riley Meredith took three wickets and Mitchell Starc one. Australia, who had earlier won the toss and elected to bat, lost six wickets in the allotted 20 overs and scored 141 runs.

Australia’s Moises Henriques top-scored with 33 runs. Captain Aaron Finch added 30 runs, Aston Turner added 24 runs and Matthew Wade added 23 runs. West Indies’ Hayden Walls Jr. took two wickets, Dwayne Bravo, Fabien Allen and Obed McCoy took one.
