Arsenal beat Leeds, Chelsea lost to Aston Villa

Kathmandu – The top placed Arsenal has beaten Leeds United at Emirates Stadium on last night’s match in the English Premier League.

Since his last goal for Arsenal, Gabriel Jesus had endured six months, 17 matches, one knee surgery and countless hours of painful rehabilitation before he found himself 12 yards out from goal here, the ball on the penalty spot and only Illan Meslier, the Leeds United goalkeeper, in his path.

Arsenal have 72 points in 29 games. Manchester City, who played one game less, has 64 points. City beat Liverpool 4-1 in the first match yesterday.

Similarly, Chelsea lost in last night’s match. Aston Villa beat Chelsea 2-0. Bournemouth beat Fulham and Crystal Palace beat Leicester City 2-1. Brighton and Brentford drew 3-3 and Nottingham Forest and Wolves drew 1-1.
