Indian Premier League: Chennai is playing against Gujarat in the opening match

Kathmandu – The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League IPL is starting today. Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans are playing in the opening match in Ahmedabad.

The game will start at 8:00 pm according to Nepali time. The winners of the previous edition were Gujarat under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya and Chennai under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Chennai is a four time winning team in IPL. IPL will be held in different cities of India.

For the first time after the Corona epidemic, the franchise team is playing home and away. This time 10 teams are participating. All participating teams have completed their preparations. There will be 74 matches between 10 teams in the 59-day competition. Each team will play 14 games.

There will be 70 matches between 10 teams in the group stage and after the league stage, the top 4 teams on the points table will qualify for the playoffs. The impact player rule will be implemented from this season. Any team can change one player within 14 overs during the match.
