Church Boys’ 2nd consecutive win, Shree Kumari and Social Youth played a draw, RCT’s first win

KATHMANDU: Church Boys clinched their second consecutive victory in the Martyrs’ Memorial ‘B’ Division League Football match played on Sunday with Shree Kumari Club and Samajik Youth Club drawing points.

Church Boys defeated Khumaltar Youth Club 2-0 in the first match played at ANFA Complex Satdabata. With the victory, Church Boys have won for the second time in a row in this edition of the league.

Ashish Chapagain, who had scored a hat-trick in the previous match, scored two goals in the match against Khumaltar. He scored in the 54th and 71st minutes of the match.

Khumaltar has suffered its first defeat in this edition. Earlier, Khumaltar had made a good start in the league by defeating Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT) 3-1 in the first match.

In the second match played at ANFA Complex, Shree Kumari and Samajik Youth drew three goals each and shared the points. Raj Bhushal, Dipen Magar and Laxman Man Tharu scored one goal each for Kumari.

Similarly, Basant Bahadur Rana, Suresh Khatri and Krishna Bhandari scored one goal each for the social youth.

In the third match of the league, Ranipokhar Corner Team (RCT) defeated Madhyapur Youth Association by a margin of 2-0. Amar Dangol scored in the first minute to help RCT win the first game.

RCT took the lead in the first half and added another goal in the second half. Sagar Tharu scored in the 76th minute.
