Kathmandu – Nepal is playing against United Arab Emirates (UAE) today in the Tri-Nations ODI series of ICC World Cup Cricket League-2.
The match will start at Kirtipur ground from 9:30 am. Nepal and UAE have played 11 times in ODIs so far. In which Nepal has won 5 times and UAE 6 times.
Nepal has won 2 of the three matches played at the Kirtipur ground. Nepal is in fifth place with 34 points out of 33 matches with 16 wins and 15 losses. America is in fourth place with 35 points with 16 wins and 17 losses in 36 games.
If Nepal will defeats UAE in today’s match, it will rise to the fourth position with 36 points. If they win today, even if they lose in the remaining two matches, Nepal will remain in the top five and maintain their ODI status. UAE has 31 points with 14 wins and 16 losses in 33 matches. UAE is in sixth place.
Nepal has to win the remaining three matches to qualify for the World Cup. UAE has dropped out of the top three. Nepal defeated Papua New Guinea (PNG) by 52 runs in the last match. This series is the last series of Cricket League-2.
Nepal will play PNG tomorrow and UAE in the final match on Thursday.
