Kathmandu: Chennai Super Kings defeated Mumbai Indians in Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket. Chennai beat Mumbai by 7 wickets in last night’s match. This is Mumbai’s second straight defeat. Chennai’s second win in the third game.
Chasing a target of 158 runs for victory, Chennai found themselves losing 3 wickets in 18 overs. Ajikya Rahane of Chennai scored 61 runs. He completed his half century in 19 balls.
Mumbai’s Jason Behrendoff, Piyush Chawla and Kumar Karthike took one wicket each. Before that, Mumbai lost the toss and scored 157 runs losing 8 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs after losing the toss.
Mumbai’s Ishan Kishan scored the highest 32 runs. Ravindra Jadeja of Chennai took 3 wickets. Mitchell Santnar and Tushar Deshpande took 2 wickets each.
In the first match yesterday, Rajasthan Royals defeated Delhi Capitals by 57 runs.
There will be two matches today. The first match will be between Gujarat and Kolkata at 4.50 pm in Ahmedabad.
