Kathmandu – Nepal has successful to make a new history after beaten Papua New Guinea by 9 wicket in just 10 over’s match today at TU cricket ground in the Tri-Nations ODI series of ICC Cricket League-2.
After winning the toss and Nepal ware electing to bowl first, Nepal bowled out of PNG for 95 runs in 32 overs. Sandeep Lamichhane has managed to take the most 5 wickets for Nepal.
For Nepal, Ashif Shaikh hit 3 sixes and 8 fours in 21 balls for Nepal and scored 53 runs. Kushal Bhurtel scored 33 runs in 24 balls and was run out.
Similarly, Kushal Malla added 12 runs in 13 balls.
Nepal has secured international ODI recognition. With this win, Nepal remains at the fourth position in the league standings with 38 points.
Nepal has climbed to the fourth position of the ICC World Cup Cricket League-2.
Nepal has got 38 points from 35 games. If Nepal will beat UAE on next match will be ranked in the third place with 40 points and will qualify for the ICC ODI World Cup in Zimbabwe next year.
PNG is at the bottom of the points table with 11 points. UAE is in sixth place with 31 points.
