Nepal defeated Sri Lanka 3-2 for the second consecutive victory

Kathmandu: Nepal has defeated Sri Lanka in the SAAF Championship Football. In the match played in Maldives last night, Nepal defeated Sri Lanka 3-2 and got its second consecutive victory.

Suman Lama, Anjan Bista and Ayush Ghalan scored one goal each in Nepal’s victory. Sri Lanka’s Marvin Hamilton and Dillon de Silva scored one goal each. Nepal’s Suman Lama opened the scoring in the 33rd minute.

Similarly, Anjan Bista scored in the 51st minute to give Nepal a 2-0 lead. However, Sri Lanka’s Hamilton returned a goal in the 57th minute. Ayush Ghalan, who came on as a substitute, scored in the 86th minute to give Nepal a 3-1 lead.

Sri Lanka’s De Silva scored from the penalty spot during the game’s injury time. After this victory, Nepal has risen to the top of the table. Nepal has added 6 points in 2 games. In the first match, Nepal defeated Maldives 1-0.

Sri Lanka had lost 1-0 to Bangladesh in the first match. Now, Nepal will play India in the third match on Sunday.
