Nepal is winless in U-17 Asian Cup qualifiers, losing 4-2 to Chinese Taipei

Kathmandu: Nepal remains winless in the AFC U-17 Asian Cup qualifiers being held in Vietnam.

Nepal lost to Chinese Taipei 4-2 in their last match of the U-17 Asian Cup qualifiers on Sunday.

Earlier, Nepal lost 3-0 to Thailand and 5-0 to Vietnam.

Nepal, who finished the game with 10 players, conceded 2 goals in the last 10 minutes.

For Chinese Taipei, Lin Hai Ching scored 2 goals, Tai Yan Yau and Lu Thing scored. Captain Prashant Laksham and Dhan Singh Vick scored one goal each for Nepal.

Nepal’s coach Urjan Shrestha, who suffered his third defeat in a row, said that he had to concede the goal due to his own mistakes.

He said that even though Nepal got the opportunity, it could not make good use of it.
