Nepal lost to host Tajikistan 6-0 for the second time in a row

Kathmandu: Nepal has suffered its second consecutive defeat in the AFC Under-23 Asian Cup qualifiers.

In last night’s match, Nepal lost to host Tajikistan 6-0 and suffered its second consecutive defeat. With the loss to Tajikistan, Nepal is out of the group stage.

Shervoni Mabatshoev, Sharafzon Solehov, Rustam Soirov, Muhammadali Azizboev, Bhadat Hanonov and Imomali Akhamadkhon scored one goal each to give Tajikistan the victory. In Group B, Nepal lost 4-0 to Iran in the first match.

This is Tajikistan’s second consecutive victory. Earlier, Tajikistan had defeated Lebanon in the first match. Now Nepal will play its last game against Lebanon on Sunday.

The top team in the group will play in the AFC Under-23 Asian Cup. Similarly, the best four teams from the second team will also be selected in the Under-23 Asian Cup. The final round of the tournament in Uzbekistan is scheduled to take place from June 1 to 19, 2022.
