19th Asian Games T20 cricket: Nepal set a target of 213 runs to Maldives

Kathmandu: Nepal has given a 213 runs target for Maldives today at HanzhouZJUT Cricket Field Hangzhou, Zhejiang in the The 19th Asian Games T20 cricket match.

After winning the toss and batting, Nepal scored 212 runs for the loss of 6 wickets and gave Maldives a target of 213 runs.

Rohit Paudel scored 52 runs for Nepal by hitting 3 sixes and 3 fours in 27 balls. Similarly, Kushal Malla hit 3 sixes and 3 fours in 20 balls and added 47 runs. Nepal rested fast bowler Karan KC in today’s match. When Karan is rested, wicket keeper Vinod Bhandari is in the team.

If they win today’s match, Nepal will reach the quarterfinals. Nepal defeated Mongolia by 273 runs in the first match and Maldives also defeated Mongolia by 9 wickets in the first match. Various world records were also set in the match between Nepal and Mongolia.

Nepal became the first country to score 300 runs in T20, while Kushal Malla scored the fastest century in 34 balls and Dipendrasingh Airi scored a half century in 9 balls.

Maldives’ first choice team is not participating in Asiad. In the T20 ranking, Nepal is 16th and Maldives is 78th. Nepal won two T20 matches between Nepal and Maldives so far.
