PM Oli distributes cash prizes to the players and coaches of the Three Nations Cup winners

Kathmandu: The government has honored the Nepali national football team, which won the Three Nations Cup International Football title last April, with cash.

On Sunday at the PM’s residence in Baluwatar, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli awarded Rs 4 lakh to the players of the winning team and Rs 2 lakh to the coach.

After winning the title of Three Nations, the cabinet meeting on the recommendation of the National Sports Council had decided to give Rs 4 lakh to the winning player.

Nepal had won the title by defeating Bangladesh 2-1 in the final of the Three Nations Cup on March 30.

The Kyrgyz Olympic team also participated in the competition. Sanjog Rai and Vishal Rai scored goals to give Nepal victory in the final held at Dasharath Stadium.
