KATHMANDU: Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have confirmed Kylian Mbappe’s reinstatement into their first team following his exclusion from the squad.
France’s former World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe will stay at PSG. Before denying that Real Madrid would join the club, PSG has entered closed training without denying the possibility of renewing the contract.
PSG have linked Mbappe with a summer exit after refusing to sign a new contract that expires in 2024.
Mbappe was expelled from the first team, which includes the forward. The relegated teammates are known as the ‘bomb squad’, as the league will sell him for a fee this month rather than see a side leave him for free in a year.
After his posters were removed at the Parc des Princes, shops in Paris no longer sell his jersey, and the club said there would be a ‘wave of redundancy’ in the French side if Mbappe was not sold, the former AC Monaco star said.
Luis Enrique has been reintegrated into the first team. The report added that a contract renewal is still possible.
