KATHMANDU: Krishna Bahadur Rai, the gold winner of the 8th South Asian Games in Nepal, has passed away.
Rai, who was born in 1968, died yesterday due to coronavirus infection, said Deepak Shrestha, president of the Nepal National and International Sportsmen’s Association. In the eighth round, he won gold for Tim Kata.
Rai is also the gold medalist in the singles category of the 4th National Games. He is survived by his wife and son.
