KATHMANDU: Former Pakistan captain and all-rounder Shahid Afridi has decided to play cricket from Nepal. Afridi will play in the fourth edition of the Everest Premier League (EPL) T20 cricket tournament from Kathmandu Kings XI.
Kathmandu Kings XI announced that Pakistan veteran Afridi will play EPL from his team during a program in Kathmandu on Monday.
The 44-year-old all-rounder has scored 1,716 runs in 27 Tests, 8,064 runs in 398 ODIs and 1,416 runs in 99 T20s. He has taken 48 wickets in Tests, 395 wickets in ODIs and 98 wickets in T20I.
The fourth edition of the EPL will be held from September 25 to October 9. Six franchise teams including Kathmandu will compete in the competition.
