World Cup Cricket League-2: Nepal defeated by USA by 106 runs

Kathmandu – Nepal has lost to the United States by 106 runs in the tri-nation series under the ICC World Cup Cricket League-2.
Chasing a target of 263 runs set by the US, Nepal could only manage 156 runs in 39 overs and 2 balls, losing all their wickets. Nepal’s Dipendra Singh Airi scored 40 runs, while Asif Sheikh scored 37 runs. America’s Harmeet Singh took 6 wickets.
Earlier, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Dubai after losing the toss and electing to bat, the United States scored 262 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 50 overs. Smith Patel of the United States scored 75, and Milind Kumar scored 70 not out. Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane took 2 wickets and Sompal Kami, Dipendra Singh Airi and Arif Sheikh took 1 wicket each.
The series, which began today and includes the home teams UAE, Nepal and the USA, will continue until next Wednesday, Kartik 19. Each team will play two matches against each other in the competition.
In the eight-team League-2, Nepal is in seventh place with 12 points from 17 matches. The United States has climbed to the top with 30 points from 21 matches. The UAE is at the bottom with 6 points from 16 matches.
