Nepali team announced for Women’s Day Cup in Uganda
Kathmandu – The Nepali team has been announced for the ‘Women’s Day Cup’ international cricket tournament to be held in Uganda. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced a 14-member team under the captaincy of Indu Burma.
Sana Prabin and Riya Sharma have made it to the senior team for the first time. Seemana KC, Sabnam Rai, Sobha Rokaya and Manisha Upadhyay, who were in closed training, could not make it to the team.
Nepal, Uganda, Hong Kong, and Namibia will participate in the T20 tournament to be held from March 8 to 16. After competing against each other twice, the top two teams will advance to the final.
Nepal will start the tournament by playing against Namibia on March 8. Similarly, Nepal will play against Uganda on March 9 and Hong Kong on March 10. Similarly, they will play against Namibia on March 12, Uganda on March 13 and Hong Kong again on March 14.
