ACC U19 Asia Cup: Nepal is playing against Pakistan today

Kathmandu – The ACC Under-19 Asia Cup is starting today from Friday in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

As part of the competition, the Nepali youth cricket team is playing against Pakistan today in the first match. The game will start at 11:30 am. Afghanistan and India are also playing in another match today.

8 countries including Nepal are participating in the competition. Nepal is in Group ‘A’ with India, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Similarly, in group ‘B’ there are domestic teams UAE, Japan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

If you look at the history of Nepal’s under-19 team, they have defeated Test teams like India and New Zealand. In 2017, Nepal defeated India. But Nepal has not yet reached the finals of the Asia Cup.

Nepal’s head coach Jagat Tamata has said that he is very excited to play against India and Pakistan. Nepal will play the second match against Afghanistan on Friday and the third match against India on the 26th.

The semi-final match will be held on November 29. The winner of group ‘A’ and the runner-up of group ‘B’ and the winner of group ‘B’ and the runner-up of group ‘A’ will play in the semi-finals.

At least two matches must be won to reach the semi-finals. The final match of the competition will be held on January 1st.
