ANFA announces Nepali team for U-17 Asian Cup qualifiers

Kathmandu: Nepali U-17 head coach Urjan Shrestha has announced the final 23-member team for the Asian Cup qualifiers.

He also coached the U-17 team in SAFF. He announced a new team after changing some players from the same team.

The Nepali U-17 team returned home on the 30th of August after becoming the runner-up in SAFF. Ram Thapa, Saroj Dalarmi and Sriyans Manandhar have been included in the team for the first time, replacing Pritam Karki, Mirak Lingden and Saroj Dhami in the SAFF team.

Coach Shrestha has kept only two players in the forward and nine players in the midfield this time. The team will leave for Vietnam to play the tournament on Sunday.

Defenders: Ashwin Ghorasaini, Madan Paudel, Deepak Thapamgar, Nishant Tamang, Younis Magar, Vikram Tamang, Seemant Thapa, Dhiraj Vishwakarma, Ram Thapa

Midfielders: Prashant Laxam, Younes Budhathoki, Saroj Dalarmi, Harisraj Bhatt, Lachu Thapa, Vinod KC, Sriyans Manandhar, Niraj Karki, Dhan Singh Vick

Forwards: Sijal Rai, Suwas Bam
