Kathmandu: Tottenham captain Harry Kane has said that the racist treatment of Brazilian football player Richardson is unacceptable.
Kane said in a press conference held that racist behavior towards Brazilian forward Richardson on Thursday, who scored a 5-1 victory over Tunisia in a friendly match between Tunisia and Brazil on Tuesday, was unacceptable.
During the game on Tuesday, while celebrating the goal scored by Richardson, he was racially abused by some supporters. Some supporters threw bananas at him.
Kane said that it is reprehensible for players to have a dispute over their color rather than their game. “I don’t think Richardson gave any reaction to it.
FIFA has also said that an investigation will be carried out on the actions taken by the supporters. But such actions are unacceptable,” said Kane.
