Ben Stokes has retired from ODI cricket

Kathmandu: England all-rounder Ben Stokes has retired from one-day international cricket. He has announced his retirement by writing a post on Twitter on Monday..

Stokes has now said that his entire focus will be on the T-20 format.

He wrote in a tweet, “I am playing my last one-day cricket match for England in Durham on Tuesday.”

I have decided to retire in this style. This decision is very difficult for me.

I have loved every minute of the game with my friends in the England team. We had an incredible journey during this time.

The 31-year-old Stokes will play his last ODI against South Africa on Tuesday. Having played 103 ODIs, he is about to end his ODI career at home.

Stokes’ most memorable moment was the 2019 World Cup final. Where he scored 84 runs against New Zealand to take the match to a super over.

Later, England won the first World Cup, in which Stokes was the player of the match.
