Kathmandu: The Government of Nepal has announced cash prize of 1 crore 57 lakh 50 thousand rupees to the national cricket team.

Tanklal Ghising, Member-Secretary of the National Sports Council (Rakhep) has informed that a cash prize of Rs.
79 lakhs for the ACC Men’s Premier Cup held from 5th to 18th May last year, 46 lakhs for the Asia Qualifiers for the ICC Under-19 Men’s World Cup held from 12th to 18th February 2079 and 46 lakhs for the ICC World Cup League-2. Member-Secretary Ghising said that a cash prize of Rs.
Nepal has also qualified for the T-20 World Cup to be held in America and West Indies next year. Nepal has qualified for the T20 World Cup after 10 years after defeating the UAE by 8 wickets in the semi-final match of the T20 World Cup Asia region held yesterday.
Nepal played the T20 World Cup for the first time in 2014 but did not qualify after that. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has congratulated the Nepalese cricket team for being selected for the T20 World Cup tournament.
He expressed high respect on behalf of the government for the success and height achieved by the Nepali cricket team in recent times.
