IPL 2023: Chennai beat Lucknow by 12 runs

Kathmandu: Chennai Super Kings beat Lucknow Super Giants on Monday’s evening at MA Chidambaram Cricket Stadium in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Chennai have defeated Lucknow by 12 runs target of 218 runs for victory, Lucknow lost 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs and made only 250 runs.

For Lucknow, Kyle Meyers scored 53, Nicholas Puran 32, Ayush Badoni 23, Marcus Stoinis 21, captain KL Rahul 20 and Krishnapa Gowtham scored 17 unbeaten.

For Chennai, Moeen Ali took 4 wickets, Tusardesh Pandey took 2 wickets and Mitchell Santener took 1 wicket.

Before that, the home team, who lost the toss and batted first, scored 217 runs after losing 7 wickets in 20 overs.

For Chennai, Rituraj Gaikwad scored 57 runs, Devon Conway scored 47 runs, Ambadi Rayudu scored 27 runs unbeaten, Shivam Duve scored 22 runs, Moeen Ali scored 19 runs and captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni scored 12 runs.

For Lucknow, Mark Wood and Rabi Vishroi took 3/3 each and Avesh Khan took 1 wicket.

Chennai lost to Gujarat Giants by 5 wickets in the first match. Lucknow beat Delhi by 50 runs in the first match.
