Kathmandu – Nepal is playing against Ireland the ICC ODI World Cup qualifiers today, Nepal has set a target of 269 runs to the Test nation Ireland.
After losing the toss in Takashinga Cricket Club, Zimbabwe’s Harare, Nepal was invited to bat first and scored 268 runs by losing 9 wickets in the scheduled 50 overs.
Nepal’s Gulsan Jha scored 57 runs not out. Arjun Saud scored 48 runs, Kushal Malla scored 44 runs and Sandeep Lamichhane scored 32 runs. On the bowling side, Ireland’s Mark Adder, Berry McCarthy and Craig Young took 2 wickets each.
Nepal and Ireland played one day international cricket for the first time. This is also the third match played by Nepal against a Test playing nation. Earlier, Nepal has played against Zimbabwe and West Indies.
