KATHMANDU: Chennai Super Kings have emerged victorious in the Indian Premier League (IPL) Cricket. Chennai beat Mumbai Indians by 20 runs in a match played in Dubai last night.
Chasing the target of 157 runs set by Chennai, Mumbai lost 8 wickets in 20 overs and managed to score only 136 runs. For Mumbai, Saurabh Tiwary remained unbeaten on 50, while Quinton de Kock scored 17, Anmol Preet Singh 16, Adam Milne and Kiran Pollard 15/15.
Chennai’s Dwayne Bravo took three wickets, Deepak Chahar two and Jose Hazlewood and Shardul Thakur one each. Earlier, batting first, Chennai lost 6 wickets in 20 overs and scored 156 runs.
Ruturaj Gaikwad of Chennai remained unbeaten on 88 runs. Similarly, Ravindra Jadeja added 26 runs while Dwayne Bravo scored 23 runs. Mumbai’s Trent Bolt, Adam Milne and Jaspreet Bumrah took 2/2 wickets.
Chennai is at the top of the table with 12 points. In IPL cricket, Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore will play today. The game will be played at 8:15 pm.
